Liebster Award!

So it looks like Fangirls of Fiction got nominated for a Liebster Award. Thanks Amber at My Bookshelf is Hungry !! Basically the award is a way for blogs with less than 200 followers to get more followers and to interact with more bloggers!

THE RULES:

  • Link back to the person who nominated you and answer the questions that they've asked
  • Nominate 10 other bloggers
  • Ask your nominees 10 questions for them to answer
  • Let your nominees know about their award

THE QUESTIONS:

1) What was your favorite series of the past year?
I've read so many series this year but my favorite would probably have to be The Lux series by Jennifer Armentrout. I read the entire series in probably a week and I just love the characters (cough, cough Daemon) and the premise of the series is pretty awesome too.

2) Who is your favorite minor character in all the books that you've read?
Rudy Steiner from The Book Thief. I love that little boy so much it's not even funny. His personality and the
way the author describes him makes me wish that I had a friend like Rudy Steiner. And if you guys haven't read The Book Thief, go now and buy several boxes of tissues. Just a warning.

3) Have you quit a book recently? If so, what was it's name and why'd you quit it?
I started reading What Happened to Goodbye by Sarah Dessen but I only got to page 100 or something. I guess I stopped because I just never got into the plot or the writing style. I don't think I've ever gotten through a Sarah Dessen book to be honest.

4) What is the largest amount of books that you've bought at one time?
I went to a used bookstore one time so everything was super cheap. I probably bought 15 to 20 books that time which earned me quite a few strange looks from the other people in the store.

5) Why did you start blogging?
I think the main reason why I started blogging and joining all these social media sites was because none of my friends like to read or watch the same shows I do and my parents were getting annoyed with all my babbling. But on Twitter and on the blog I can talk with other people that share the same interests I do which is really great.

6) What are some books that you love, but most others don't?
Most of the books I read are pretty popular and liked books but one of my favorite books of all time is The Book Thief and I feel with that book, you either love it or you hate it. I also really enjoyed the Pretty Little Liars books and some people don't like those because they are different from the show.

7) Have you ever been ashamed to read a certain book in public? Which one?
I wouldn't say ashamed but their have been times where I was hesitant to bring a book to school because there is like a shirtless person on the cover or people kissing just because people will look and be like, What are you reading?!?

8) What are your favorite reading spots?
My favorite reading spot would probably in my room or when it's nice outside I sometimes will sit on my porch and read.

9) How do you organize your bookshelf?
My bookshelf has eight sections and I have one section for all my Rick Riordan books, one for my favorite hardcovers, another for favorite paperbacks, one for Cassandra Clare books, one for trilogies, another for more series, one for Sara Shepard books, and another for my Divergent and Hunger Games books. I also have a row of more series on the top of my bookshelf.

10) What author would you love to meet? Why?
There are so many authors I would love to meet but if I had to choose only one it would be John Green. He is probably my favorite author right now and I have read all of his books, multiple times. I've also watched all of his Vlogbrother videos so I think meeting him in person would be a dream come true.

MY QUESTIONS:

1.) What was the first book that made you realize you loved reading?
2.) If you can live in one book for a day, what would it be?
3.) Who are your top five fictional boyfriends?
4.) Who is your favorite author and why?
5.) Favorite book of 2013?
6.) What book are you most excited to read in 2014?
7.) What female character is most like you and why?
8.) What is your favorite movie adaption of a book?
9.) If you could be one character from a book for a day, who would it be and why?
10.) If you ever wrote a book, what would it be about?
