Cover Reveal: The One and placeholder cover for City of Heavenly Fire

So today has been a pretty good day to release a book cover! The new cover for Kiera Cass's final book in The Selection series debuted today and Cassandra Clare released a place holder cover (a cover before the real cover) for her highly anticipated Mortal Instruments finale, City of Heavenly fire.

The One by Kiera Cass
America must decide if she's truly the One.
Don't miss the captivating conclusion to The Selection trilogy.

Thats all the information that has been released for the summary of the book which is expected to be published May 6th, 2014. The Selection, the first in the series, was an amzing book that has been described as The Bachelor meets The Hunger Games. The second book in the trilogy is called The Elite. I absolutely love the cover of this book! I think it's a perfect cover for the last book because the other books have shown the main character, America, in lavish dresses in red and blue. I'm sad to see this series come to an end but I'm aslso excited to see what's in store for America and all the other characters.

City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare
ERCHOMAI, SEBASTIAN HAD SAID.
I am coming.
Darkness returns to the Shadowhunter world. As their society falls apart around them, Clary, Jace, Simon and their friends must band together to fight the greatest evil the Nephilim have ever faced: Clary’s own brother. Nothing in the world can defeat him — must they journey to another world to find the chance? Lives will be lost, love sacrificed, and the whole world changed in the sixth and last installment of the Mortal Instruments series!

I am not emotionally or physically capable of surviving this book. It's the last book in probably my favorite series and Cassandra Clare is known for making people scream and cry in agony. It's what she does best! Like just this morning on Twitter she said that six characters we know by name are going to die. SIX? SIX CHARACTERS!! That's practically every character in the book. CoHF comes out in May also and no amount of emotional preparation can prepare me for what is about to come...
By the look of it, the shadowhunters will be leaving NYC and going to Idris again, but I'm not sure. I still can't believe the Mortal Instruments are actually going to be over! *runs away to sob in a corner*

So, what are your guys thoughts on the new covers? Who will be reading these books when they hit shelves in May?
Enjoy,
 --AMANDA
