September Book Haul

Hello old friends, it's been quite awhile since I've last posted. School isn't as easy as it was last year and whoever invented AP classes literally deserves a slow and painful death. Because of school I haven't been able to read that many books and I've really missed reading (I'm four books behind on my Goodreads challenge!!)

So today, after much begging on my hands and knees, my mom finally drove me to the bookstore! I spent way too much money but I am so excited to start some of these new books. I probably spent close to two hours in the bookstore today trying to decide what to buy because there are so many new books out that I really want to read. I finally decided on these four (the other two are for school) and they all look really amazing and hopefully I can start reading them soon! So without further ado, I give to you, my September Book Haul!

What I've Read This Summer (So Far)

Hey everybody, its been a while since we last spoke and I am totally blaming school for that. But school is OUT for Summer which means I can spend all my free time on the internet and not feel guilty for abandoning my schoolwork!! I've been on Summer break for a week now and I've read tons of great books. Seriously, the only time I left my room was to go to the library or bookstore. I fell way behind on reading and t.v shows in May so I have a lot to catch up on but I think I've gotten a pretty good head start.
This Summer so far I've read.....

1. Dark Places by Gillian Flynn: "I have a meanness inside me, real as an organ."

New April Books

It's a new month! The birds are chirping, the flowers are blooming, and new books are hitting the shelves!! Here are the books I've gathered so far for the lovely month of April.

New Books to read!

I recently went to the library and checked out tons of interesting new books. I went there only planning on checking out a couple books, but the librarian insisted I check out all the new arrivals. So instead of two or three books, I ended up coming home with around twelve!! Here are the five books I am looking forward to reading the most.


1. Matched by Allie Condie

I went on a bit of a book buying craze that I am both proud of and terrified of. I would like to think I could read this list in a month but I have a lot going on in the coming weeks so I doubt that will happen, but we shall see. And now, on to the books !!

Amanda's December Book Haul

I can't believe it is December already! This year has gone by so fast. Like always, I went to the bookstore at the beginning of the month and bought books to keep me busy this winter. I'm only five books away from reaching my goal of 100 books this year so hopefully I can finish all these wonderful books and still get good grades on all my finals that are coming up. The pressure is on!!

1.) Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
Summary:  St. Vladimir’s Academy isn’t just any boarding school—it’s a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess. I have heard many great things about this series and the movie is coming out in February so I think it is about time I started reading it. The book looks pretty good, even though vampire novels are not my favorite.

2.) Deadly by  Sara Shepard

November Book Haul

I went to the bookstore yesterday (first time since I finished Allegiant) and bought three books that I'm really looking forward to reading. It seems like I haven't been able to get into a book after allegiant so hopefully these books will cure me of my book hangover.

1.) Teardrop by Lauren Kate

I've read Lauren Kate's other series, Fallen and I liked the series. Not one of my favorites, but still pretty good. The cover immediately drew me in and then when I read the summary I was sold. This book looks amazing  and I'm really looking forward to starting it.


2.) Champion by Marie Lu (Legend #3)

So October was a great month of book buying for me. So many new releases for people already in the fandoms. But me being me, I was very late to the party for a few of them. But I cannot wait to get through them. I have heard nothing but good things.

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell ~~ I have heard so many good things about this book on YouTube and I just couldn't resist going for it. I mean how perfect is it that there is a book about a devoted, obsessive, fanfic writing fangirl!!This is the ultimate novel for people like us. And it is so nice to have it written the way it is. I only got a few chapters in before I had to stop and become distracted by a little show called "Sherlock" but now that I have finished the show, I'm eager to jump back to this book. Its so captivating.

So the other day I went to this amazing used bookstore that had hundreds of books that were really cheap. So being the book nerd that I am, I spent about four hours in there going through countless piles of books before finally deciding on a couple.

Stacking the Shelves 5/12

So for the past month I've been catching up on Doctor Who which is incredibly addicting (thanks Mari for recommending it). It's like I got sucked into a vortex of timey-wimey-ness and couldn't get out.

Basically, I've been pretty much in a deep, deep reading slum for the past month. I got these books this week and hopefully one of them will pull me out of this horrible dark pit I'm in.
