Amanda's current T.V obsessions

Back in July of 2013, I did a similar post where I talked about my five favorite shows. I just went back and read that list and I realized that I now have a completely different list of favorite shows. When it comes to shows, it feels like my favorites change almost weekly so I think it's about time I update you all on my current t.v obsessions.

1. Doctor Who

Almost every fangirl/boy has heard of Doctor Who. It's just one of those universally known shows that a lot of people really love. I would always see people talk about it on Twitter and Tumblr and I knew people loved the show, but I never really understood why. I hate to admit this, but before I started really watching it I thought Doctor Who was just some weird show. It is amazing how much my opinion has changed in just a few short months with the doctor. It took me about about a month to watch the first season with Christopher Eccleston but as soon as David Tennant stepped out of the Tardis I knew I was completely hooked on the show. I zoomed through season 2, cried after watching Doomsday, and cried even harder when Tennant left. But then, Matt Smith crashed into Amelia Pond's garden as the eleventh doctor and I fell in love with the show even more. I zoomed through seasons 5, 6, and 7 and was caught up just in time to watch The Day of The Doctor
Me after Matt Smith's regeneration
(50th Anniversary) Then on Christmas, my favorite doctor, Matt Smith, regenerated and I really didn't think I would be able to handle that. I think I handled it okay (after crying for days) and I am now waiting for Perter Capaldi's first episode as the doctor. I can't even begin to explain what Doctor Who is and why it is so much more than just a sci-fi show. I think only people who actually watch it understand so if you don't watch it, do yourself a favor and try it.Warning: buy several boxes of tissues. (You will need them!)

2.Veronica Mars
Veronica Mars was one of those shows that I didn't think I would ever like but I ended up loving. It is a fairly simple show with a pretty basic plot; teenage detective who solves crimes while dealing with growing up and High School. But because of the characters and dialogue, the show becomes so much more than that. Meet Veronica Mars, a witty, brilliant, teenage detective who works for her dad and her classmates to solve the toughest mysteries of Neptune, California. In all the shows I've watched I can honestly say I have never met a character quite like Veronica Mars. Her personality makes the show so special, along with the somewhat odd relationships she has with the people in her life.  Veronica and her dad have one of the best father-daughter relationships on T.V and her love/hate
relationship with bad boy Logan Echolls makes me laugh and cry at the same time. Her best friends Wallace and Mac also add so much to the show along with the cases she solves on a daily basis. There are only three seasons of the show (which I watched in less than a month) but on March 14 a movie came out that was set a couple years after the show ended to give fans some much needed closure. I really didn't think I would like this show when I started it but now it is definitely one of my favorites.

3. Teen Wolf

I watched seasons 1 and 2 of Teen Wolf on Netflix over the summer and I really liked the show and was looking forward to January, which was when season 3 started back up. I really enjoyed the plot and the Characters (Stiles!!) but I think the only reason why Teen Wolf is on this list right now is because of how amazing season 3 has been. The highlight of my Monday was having a new episode of Teen Wolf to watch because every episode literally left me open-mouthed, staring at my T.V in awe. Season 3 just ended and so much has happened. There was a SHOCKING character death that I will probably never recover from and a season finale cliffhanger that will leave me guessing until it comes back on June 23rd. Just watch Teen Wolf. Seriously.

4. Once Upon a Time
Love love love this show. Once Upon a Time is such a unique show because of its plot. The best thing about this show is how they mix all the fairy tales from our childhood with drama that will keep everyone hooked. This show has never left me bored and every episode makes me want to cry. (I'm not kidding.) Once Upon a Time really has everything, including a family tree that would take months to figure out. It just came back for the second part of season 3 and I am so excited to see what awaits the citizens of Storybrooke.

5. Sherlock
There are no words to describe my love for Sherlock. I think I have seen every episode at least ten times. I'm not kidding. I LOVE Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman as Sherlock Holmes and John Watson and I love the mysteries, the supporting characters, and the format of the episodes. Basically I just love everything that has to do with Sherlock. The only thing I don't like is the EXTREMELY LONG gaps between each season. I don't know when series 4 is coming out, but I do know that it will be epic and amazing and I can't wait.

OTHER SHOWS I'M WATCHING RIGHT NOW:
The Walking Dead, Castle, Star Crossed, Supernatural, Pretty Little Liars, The Originals, The 100,  and The Vampire Diaries

Anybody watch any of these shows? What are some of your favorite shows? Tell me in the comments!
