Top Ten Tuesday: Books Elizabeth Just Had to Buy But Still Hasn't Read

This week's Top Ten Tuesday is listing the unread books on my shelves, books that I absolutely wanted and salivated over, or bought on impulse (but then I forgot about them or still haven't read them yet).

So here's the list of the top ten books that I've been ignoring for far too long:

1. Beautiful Redemption by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl

Beautiful Redemption (Caster Chronicles, #4)

2. An Abundance of Katherines by John Green

An Abundance of Katherines I only read the first few pages and then kinda...left it there. I've been meaning to read it properly but never got around to it.

3. Feed by Mira Grant

Feed (Newsflesh, #1)Got this in the book club Secret Santa exchange but never got around to it. Still salivating over the synopsis though. I need to read this soon.

4.  The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien

The HobbitBought this on impulse since it was on sale at Costco (plus the yellow-ish mountain peaks on the cover are gold on the actual cover and as you may know, I really like shiny things) and I still haven't properly yet. (I did skim read it however *hides ashamedly*

5. A Dog's Purpose by W. Bruce Cameron

A Dog's PurposeOk, so I bought this as a Scholastic book fair last year because the ratings on Goodreads were absolutely stunning (4.32 stars!) and I absolutely love dog books.

6. The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan

The Mark of Athena (Heroes of Olympus, #3)
Read about the first hundred pages but just couldn't get into it.

But I had to buy it because I have the rest of the series and it sucks to have the whole series except one book.

7. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer

Extremely Loud and Incredibly CloseI just couldn't get past the first hundred pages. I threw it across the room then put it back on my bookshelf. It was bad.

Um, ok..so this is really awkward but I just ran to my room and checked my bookshelf and apparently these are the only books I've been ignoring.

So those were the ten seven books that I've been ignoring for a while now!

  3. You MUST read Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close! Give it a chance, it gets so much better. It's one of my favourite books.
