Book Review: Gone

In the blink of an eye, the world changes. The adults vanish without a trace, and those left must do all they can to survive. But everyone's idea of survival is different. So I put this book on my Christmas list due to countless times of it being recommended to me after reading The Hunger Games. Although it isn't anywhere near the same as The Hunger Games story-wise, it is nearly as brilliant! 

Once I'd gotten past the awe of the neon yellow pages (o m g they're SO COOL) and got stuck in. I must have finished in a couple of days. I loved it for a few things, firstly because the story line is so unique. It
wasn't something I'd heard of before, and I've read a few dystopian books. 

But what I probably loved about it most was that (under the circumstances) it was rather realistic. If such a thing was to happen, your priorities would be food, water, medicine, children and safety. And of course, you wouldn't have it easy; there would be your usual bad guys who're after power! The story its self was amazing, but the supernatural twist pushed it into brilliant. 

Now I'm suffering from the I-NEED-THE-NEXT-BOOK illness.
