It's a new year, and you know what that means? NEW BOOKS!! So many amazing books are being released this year and I am so excited to finally get my hands on some of the most anticipated sequels, new novels, and series conclusions of 2014.
1. City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare
OH MY GOSH THIS BOOK! When I say I am beyond terrified for this book, I am under reacting. It's the LAST book in the Mortal Instruments series and I will not be able to cope when this series is finished. The AMAZING cover was released a couple days ago and on it is Clary and Sebastian. I am still totally freaking out over it and trying to figure out what it all means! Cassandra Clare has given us so many snippets and hints on twitter and tumblr, the scariest one being that six characters we know by name will die. SIX?! SIX CHARACTERS!!! THAT'S LIKE ALL OF THEM. City of Heavenly Fire hits shelves in May and no amount of preparation can prepare me for the emotional roller coaster that is this book.
2. The Retribution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
The Mara Dyer trilogy is definitely one of my favorites so the third and final book in this series is one I am really looking forward too. It's literally been forever since the second one came out (it came out in 2012) so I need to get my hands on this book. If you haven't read the Mara Dyer trilogy I highly recommend it for it is beyond brilliant and really has something for everyone.
3. The Blood of Olympus by Rick Riordan
This book needs to be out now! I've been reading the Percy Jackson books since I was eleven and since this is the last book in The Heroes of Olympus series, it will be really hard to let these books and characters go. But, I am so excited (and extremely nervous) to see what will happen to all the characters. Especially after the ending of House of Hades, I am definitely counting the days until this comes out in the fall.
4. The One by Kiera Cass
This series has been one of my favorites this past year and I am really excited for the last book in the trilogy. The cover of this book is beyond gorgeous and I'm really looking forward to see how the ending plays out. I love all the characters in the book, especially America, and I am anxiously waiting to know who she is going to choose. (Team Maxon by the way!!)
More YA 2014 releases:
Opposition(Lux #5) by Jennifer Armentrout
Ignite Me(Shatter Me #3) by Tahereh Mafi
The Infinite Sea(5th Wave #2) by Rick Yancey
Silver Shadows(Bloodlines #5) by Richelle Mead
Panic by Lauren Oliver
There are MANY more teen and YA books coming out this year and if I list them all this post would never end! What books are on your 2014 must read list? What are you looking forward to reading this year?
Enjoy!

Totally, City of Heavenly Fire. It seems like I've been waiting for it forever. Le sigh.
ReplyDeleteYou listed so many great series that I need to start reading! LOL. :)
ReplyDeleteReally excited for The One! I suppose I'm somewhat excited for City of Heavenly Fire too, but I feel like the series is dragging on a leeeetle too long. I really want to read the Mara Dyer series, but Barnes and Noble never has the first book in stock! :(
