So October was a great month of book buying for me. So many new releases for people already in the fandoms. But me being me, I was very late to the party for a few of them. But I cannot wait to get through them. I have heard nothing but good things.
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell ~~ I have heard so many good things about this book on YouTube and I just couldn't resist going for it. I mean how perfect is it that there is a book about a devoted, obsessive, fanfic writing fangirl!!This is the ultimate novel for people like us. And it is so nice to have it written the way it is. I only got a few chapters in before I had to stop and become distracted by a little show called "Sherlock" but now that I have finished the show, I'm eager to jump back to this book. Its so captivating.
The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken~~ Another book/series I was late to getting my hands on. This one intrigued me since it seems to be a dystopian/ super powers kind of story. How can no one not like that? Not to mention everyone has been recommending this to me for the past year and finally I gave in and bought it. Super excited to read this.
Allegiant by Veronica Roth~~ Got this on Tuesday and finished it this afternoon.... I cant say much about this since it just came out and I refuse to spoil it for those who haven't read it yet. Some one ruined it for me deliberately and the book obviously didn't pack a punch since I knew what would happen. I will say this though, it does have its faults and problems, but for the last book of a dystopian series, it does a great job tying everything up. I plan on doing an in depth, spoiler-rific video review on this book very soon
Panic by Lauren Oliver~~ I found this one on my trip to pick up Allegiant at my local book store and because I was a member, I got to get a book for free and this was the one I got because it was on my goodreads list. Its an ARC (Advanced Readers Copy) so I can't talk about for two reasons. It doesn't come out until March 4 2014 and I haven't read it yet but I absolutely adore Lauren Oliver's writing and the synopsis sounds like an adrenaline filled kind of ride and that makes me super excited.
Thanks for reading and let me know if any of you have read these books. And look out for my video review of Allegiant coming soon.

ReplyDeleteSHERLOCK. Enough said. Anyways, Dark Spell is great. I love Alexandra Bracken. Plus, I've heard really grab things about Fangirl, so I hope you have a great time reading your haul.
ReplyDeleteI just finished Allegiant earlier today and it was just wow...
ReplyDeleteI'm about halfway through and I've heard the ending is like shocking. Im really scared to finish it!!!
ReplyDeleteI still need to read Divergent! I am afraid of picking it up and not liking it. There is so much hype around it!
ReplyDeleteAlex @ Al's Thought's On
Wonderful haul, Krystal. I'm staying away from Allegiant, period. I won't even read reviews of it. I just…umm yeah.
ReplyDeleteOh I would definitely pick up Divergent, it was a great first book and honestly I think you would like it...or go on iBooks and download a sample before you buy. Then at least you know if you can get into the writing before you spend money
ReplyDeleteI really loved Eleanor & Park and one of the girls in my book club said she liked Fangirl even more. Hope you enjoy all of your great books!
