New books to read

Today I took a much needed trip to my second home, the bookstore. I bought quite a few books home with me and I'm really looking forward to reading them. Below are the four books I picked up today. Enjoy!

Title-The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey

Since this book has come out I've heard great things about it. It has been described as, "A fast paced action adventure that is worthy of being compared to The Hunger Games."-Booklist, which in my eyes,

is a very nice compliment. The movie rights to the book have already been sold so I have high expectations for this novel.

Title- Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo

Now, I know from Twitter and other media sites that this book is extremely liked and well written. To be honest, I'm not quite sure why it has taken me so long to read this, but now I am and I am really looking forward to it!

Title: I am the Messenger by Markus Zusak 

Ed Kennedy is an underage cabdriver without much of a future. He's pathetic at playing cards, hopelessly in love with his best friend, Audrey, and utterly devoted to his coffee-drinking dog, the Doorman. His life is one of peaceful routine and incompetence until he inadvertently stops a bank robbery.That's when the first ace arrives in the mail.That's when Ed becomes the messenger.Chosen to care, he makes his way through town helping and hurting (when necessary) until only one question remains: Who's behind Ed's mission?

I picked this book up today for only one reason, the author. Markus Zusak is the author of my all time favorite book, The Book Thief. Because The Book Thief was such an amazing novel I decided to try Zusaks's other book and see if it is any good. 

Title: The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. The cover of this book drew me in, as did the summary. The Night Circus looks like a really well written and thought out novel and I'm really looking forward to reading this book.
